Deliverable 3.1. Output-based methodological approaches for substantiating freedom from infection

The members of working group 3, led by Aurélien Madouasse and Eleftherios Meletis, delivered a report comparing different methods for output-based surveillance. The first objective was to outline the methodological and epidemiological considerations so that surveillance information is comparable between regions or countries with different surveillance programmes. The second objective was to review some methods that are or could be used to evaluate such output-based surveillance for freedom from infection. The focus was on infectious diseases. The full report will be available after publication in a scientific journal.
