On September 14, we organized a webinar on animal health economics presented by Dr. Wilma Steeneveld from Utrecht University in the Netherlands. She focused on why performing economic calculations in support of animal health in dairy herds is of added value. After a more general introduction, she presented the results of economic studies conducted in the Netherlands on the topic of mastitis, which is the most important production disease in dairy cattle worldwide. The webinar was very successful with more than 40 participants from all over Europe.
